A new distinguished Toastmaster on island

Young Entrepreneur achieves “Distinguished Toastmaster” status in February 2021. Shavonne Bryan is the first male and youngest person to attain this award in Saint Lucia.

The Saint Lucia Public Service Toastmasters Club congratulates its current President, Shavonne Bryan who achieved the highest level of educational achievement in Toastmasters- that is the title of Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM).

He is delighted that the usual 6-9 year achievement was completed in 3 years. After working assiduously towards this goal from 2018, DTM Shavonne regarded this milestone as “euphoric!”. Three females from the same Club also hold the title of DTM; namely, Sonia Monrose, Yvonne Edwin and Justine Charles.

Currently, DTM Shavonne is the tenth President of the Saint Lucia Public Service Toastmasters Club after previously serving as the Vice President Public Relations and Vice President Education in the Toastmasters years in 2018/19 and 2019/20 respectively.

He is an entrepreneur by profession and a current student at The UWI Open Campus Saint Lucia and recently embarked on addressing social issues through his Facebook, The Communicate Project. He is noted for his participation at the Independence 41 airing of Youth Parliament in 2020.
