As part of the national response to contain the spread of the pervasive COVID 19 virus, the Saint Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority (SLASPA) has implemented an appointment system for the clearing of personal effects cargo at Port Castries.
This appointment system commenced on Monday, November 02, 2020 and took effect on Wednesday, November 04, 2020. Only persons with scheduled appointments are being accommodated at the port for business.
SLASPA’s Senior Manager, Business Development and Corporate Communications Gasper George says the new measures will safeguard the health and safety of the staff of SLASPA and the Customs and Excise Department and the general public. In addition this will ease congestion at the ports.
Persons seeking to clear goods at the Ports in Castries and Vieux-Fort must make an appointment by calling 285-1091 or 285-1175 Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:00pm. Appoints can be made via WhatsApp text, but NO Whatsapp calls will be accepted.
Before heading to the ports for the confirmed appointments –please ensure what documents will be required by customs and SLASPA.
