BiP is offering US$10,000 for the design of its new mascot

BiP is calling out all young digital designers [aged 14-29] to ideate and create a new mascot for the instant messaging communications service first released in 2013.

It was only introduced to the Caribbean, Central America and the Pacific by Digicel in 2019. Since then, BiP has helped keep people connected through instant messaging and voice and video calling.

Tari Lovell, Head of Marketing – Digital Services said: “We’re calling all young digital designers and offering them the chance to win US$10,000 by designing our 3D mascot! We know it’s been a tough time for so many, and a lot of creative budgets and jobs have been cut. So instead of looking for an agency or doing this work ourselves internally, we wanted to give this opportunity to someone young and talented who gets exactly what the BiP brand is all about.”

From February 1 to March 12, the competition is open to designers aged 14-29 years old who can create a 3D mascot for the app.

To enter, they will have to download the app, follow the BiP Mascot Design Discover Service and submit their contact details, then upload their design to Billo (personal cloud storage) and share the link through the BiP Mascot Design Discover Service for pre- judging. After pre-judging, from March 22-28, the shortlisted designs will be available for viewing in the BiP Mascot Design service where the public can vote for their favorite design.
