First congratulations to all the nominees and winners of the St. Lucia Business Awards 2019. 1st National Bank had a lot to celebrate as it emerged with the LARGE BUSINESS OF THE YEAR Award and also the SERVICE EXCELLENCE Award. Congratulations as well to UNICOMER for being the EMPLOYER OF THE YEAR and also copping the Award for CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY.
Congrats to Shop De Caribbean – ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR, and our favorite chips and beverage producer Abby’s Exotic Blend for winning the SMALL BUSINESS OF THE YEAR AwardThe PRIME MINISTER’S AWARD FOR INNOVATION went to inventor KARLIS NOEL of Invictus and the PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD  to the Independent Film Company! The full list of winners is in today’s CBR. We must also congratulate Fond Doux Plantation Resort for their massive accolade “AMERICA’S MOST ECO-FRIENDLY RESORT”. Owners Eroline and Lyton Lamontagne and the talented staff have been collecting, and deservedly so, award after award for their great work on keeping their resort lush green and world class. 
Also congratulations to Sabina Valmont on her election as President of the Southern Business Association – they held their inaugural annual general meeting last week!
