First we must commend the COVID-19 Telethon initiative and its success in raising EC$2.5M -many thanks to the many corporate entities that made it all possible. It’s all for a worthy cause – for the purchase of much needed Personal Protection Equipment and for feeding the vulnerable and underprivileged in our society.

We must also commend the announcement of another BUY LOCAL campaign -let’s ensure this time it is more than just a pronouncement for the occasion, but a commitment to policy, practice and proactivity. It should be the new normal not a reaction to the economic impact of the coronavirus.
