We are getting into the thick of carnival – and St. Lucia Distillers is taking the lead – announcing its extended support for national and community carnival. Look out for a commemorative Bounty Rum Carnival edition label – designed by Shane Charlery.

The island’s most popular deejay Hollywood HP is the very first BOUNTY AMBASSADOR, and OPIUM – a Distillers signature fete [limited edition] is being introduced – hosted by Usain Bolt and Daren Sammy, headlined by Kerwin Dubois and top local performers and leading local and regional deejays – and of course the Dennery segment
Congratulations to Dr. David Bristol and Gearing Up Limited – building the island’s largest charging port for electric vehicles. If you visit the Ministry of Infrastructure offices at Union you will see the work going on there, likely to be completed by the end June.
We’re now into the thick of Calypso – The Teachers’ Kaiso With Class has taken place – Lily has a three-peat Crown – the first winner of the calypso season. Take Over Tent is on Wednesday, with Fire One on Saturday and the FRC big Fundraiser on the 9th at Pigeon Island.
And talking about fundraisers – the National Community Foundation held its telethon on Sunday – there is still time to support the cause; and on Wednesday Club Gar will be making its donation from the proceeds of Walk 4-A-Cause.
