St. Lucia is well and truly into the 2019 Carnival season which culminates Monday and Tuesday next week with the street parades.

Congratulations to the Laborie Credit Union and Wenia Verneuil for winning the Carnival Queen Competition! Ricky T won the Power Soca contest and Sly and Vye Twizeen won the Groovy. Inter-Commercial calypso competition is on tomorrow  and the Calypso Finals on Saturday – so quite a busy week ahead. The SLD Opium is on Wednesday!
And its back – the St. Lucia Business Awards are on -this time in October – the 19th to be exact. Deadline for submission of entries is end of August. Details in the CBR. The categories have changed so pay some attention to that!
