Caribbean Business Report for 8th March 2021 – Happy Women’s Day

Many thanks for your interest in the weekly e-newsletter – the Caribbean Business Report – PDF attached or can be read at

It is International Women’s Day and so we celebrate women and their contribution to our very existence.

The Ministry of Commerce is celebrating women in construction – three of them are featured in today’s edition. Also featured is a writer, an international lawyer, quality assurance and a movie studio director in California.

Of course it is also a time of reflection – on the women we’ lost to violence. There must be more constructive and attitude-altering dialogue on the continuing critical issue of domestic violence, rape and murder of women. All need critical attention from the family, the church, schools, clubs, national institutions, the creative industry and the world of business – through marketing, advertising and social media.

How women are portrayed is just as critical. Respect, appreciation and equal opportunity in all endeavors from sports to business.
