Introducing the Eastern Caribbean Green Entrepreneurship Initiative, a 3-year project financed by the Qatar Fund for Development and implemented by the Global Green Growth Institute in partnership with the OECS Commission.
It is a regional initiative offering Incubation and Accelerator programs, including virtual training and courses, a mentorship program, in-person events, pitch competitions and networking opportunities in six (6) OECS member states: Antigua & Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Saint Lucia, St. Kitts & Nevis, and St. Vincent & the Grenadines.
These programs are targeted at green businesses whose business models include solutions aimed at contributing to their country’s climate and sustainable development goals.
Successful entrepreneurs in the incubator program will have the opportunity to participate in a business competition to secure grant seed fund capital of USD$10,000.
The Accelerator program will target high-potential startups in the growth stage and offer interest-free loans in amounts up to USD$50,000 as well as a structured program for providing links with investors.
Both programs will prioritize women entrepreneurs and green job creation for women and youth.
