Guadeloupe is to host International Sargassum Expo in October

The Guadeloupe SARG’EXPO 2019 slated for October 2019 will be the first International Trade Show on Sargassum Management Technologies.

It will focus on recycling, monitoring, collection and storage of the Sargassum seaweed which has been a menace to coastal communities.

The Guadeloupe Expo provides a unique opportunity to see what has been developed for Sargassum management and its creative uses.

The Expo will feature equipment designed for Sargassum collection, booms and floating barriers. There will also be discussions on the health impacts of the gases emitted by Sargassum.

The International Sargassum Expo will be attended by interests from the OECS, France, Mexico, Brazil, the USA, Martinique, French Guiana, Saint Martin and Saint Barthelemy.
