On the night of Tuesday September 3, 2019, coincidentally the same night as the nationwide blackout, there was an act of arson committed at Esperance Estate in Ravineau, Choiseul.
The estate belongs to former Commerce Minister Emma Hippolyte.
Workers discovered the smoldering remains when they reported to work in the early morning.
At some time in the night it was reported that fire was set to two manmade huts located on the estate which were features of a newly conceptualized nature trail experience called BON NOUVEL.
Police are currently investigating the matter, anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to please contact the police.
