Kimani Melius leads West Indies U-19 in ICC World Cup in South Africa

The West Indies team has arrived in South Africa, led by St. Lucian Kimani Melius. They will be participating in the 2020 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup – an international limited-overs cricket tournament scheduled to be held in South Africa from 17 January to 9 February 2020.

The West Indies will play a series of warm up matches starting on the 13th against Canada and on the 15th against Scotland.

West Indies is in GROUP B – with Australia, England and Nigeria.

It will be the thirteenth edition of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup, and the second to be held in South Africa. Sixteen teams will be taking part in the tournament, split into four groups of four. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super League, with the bottom two teams in each group progressing to the Plate League.

India are the defending champions.

West Indies plays Australia January 18th and England on the 20th.
