Partial shutdown continues: construction, private doctors and fabric stores are opened

Effective today Monday April 27th, 2020 the Construction Sector will be allowed to operate, but permission must first be sought from the Ministry of Infrastructure. Forms can be obtained via http://www.govt.lc/news/construction-sector-to-re-open-april-27.

These and other measures were announced by the Prime Minister Allen Chastanet as he addressed the nation on Sunday.

He said the partial shutdown will continue until May 31st 2020 but the Construction Sector, private doctors’ offices and fabric stores will re-open.

The Prime Minister reminded the country that the all-clear has not been given and from today the state of emergency is extended with the curfew and zoning remaining effective.

The numbers attending church services will be relaxed and determined by the size of the church and the ability to maintain the six-foot social distancing protocol.
