Although the Sales and Distribution centre is under lockdown. The company is promising St. Lucians that all is being done to ensure that its supply chain remains open.
The Peter and Company Distribution staff at the warehouse and on sales vans and distribution vehicles are being equipped with hand sanitizers, gloves and facemasks for use in accordance with COVID-19 protocols for public interaction.
The PCD CEO went on to give a further assurance that every customer will have access to available goods as unusually large bulk orders will not be PERMITTED– instead decisions will be made on historical sales averages.
As this situation continues to evolve, there may be concerns of unethical practices such as price gouging; when questioned, Ms. Kalloo said “we’ve taken a really firm stance on price gouging. We actually are asking our customers to report it if they see other customers or third-party resellers engaging in that. We will not be tolerating it”.
