PM presents policy statement on 2021 budget on Tuesday

Parliament will meet at 4:00pm on Tuesday April 13th 2021 for the tabling of the Appropriation Bill 2021/2022.

The Debate on the Appropriation Bill follows from Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 15 and Friday, April 16, 2021 at 9:00 a.m.

Parliament has debated the estimates of expenditure for the $1.6 billion dollar budget and will this week scrutinize the policy direction of the Prime Minister’s budget for 2021/22.

The Prime Minister’s Address under the theme: “Adapting, Overcoming and Persevering: We are a Resilient Nation” follows the laying of the Estimates of Expenditure for the new financial year in the amount of $1.639 billion.

The Appropriation Bill is the policy agenda for the Government of Saint Lucia and within this year’s Budget Address the Prime Minister will map the continued way forward to building a resilient Saint Lucia.

The Prime Minister will give an overview of the past year, Saint Lucia’s adaptation to dealing with COVID-19 and the plan to continue to overcome the pandemic and guide our country forward.
