Rick Wayne, Maher Chreiki, and Mary Smith on Queen’s Birthday Honors List

The Queen has, on the occasion of Her Majesty’s Birthday and on the advice of St. Lucia Ministers bestowed honors on eleven St. Lucians.

Topping the list is newspaper publisher Rick Wayne who is now a Commander of the British Empire for services to entertainment, professional bodybuilding, advocacy and journalism.

Receiving an OBE; to be Ordinary Officers of the Civil Division of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire is Maher Chreiki for services to business.

The M.B.E. will be bestowed on Cleo Gregory Lord, for services to entrepreneurship and business; Dr. Owen Gabriel for services to medicine, and Margaret Roberts-Steele for services to broadcasting.

The British Empire Medal, M.E.B. will be granted to: Gaspard Charlemagne for services to education; to Mary Pierre for services to the community; to Pamela Mary Devaux for services to charity; to Joseph Dolcy for services to the St. Lucia Fire Service; to Mary Joan Smith for services to entrepreneurship and business and to Vincent McDoom for services to entertainment.
