SLASPA’s protocol for re-opening of airports

The Saint Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority wishes to inform the general public of its new protocols for accessing its airport facilities (Hewanorra International Airport and George F.L Charles Airport) during the first phase of the re-opening of the borders during the COVID-19 pandemic.

All persons accessing the airport terminals will be subject to security screening at the designated checkpoints. Access will be limited to the driver and ticketed passengers. Exemptions will be made for travelers with disabilities and un-accompanied minors. Departing passengers must present proof of travel at the Port Police checkpoint.

Upon drop off of the passenger on the curbside, the driver of the vehicle and any other non-traveling occupants will not be allowed to enter the departure check-in concourse. The driver will be required to exit the airport facility after the drop-off of passengers.

Passengers are required to wear face masks at all times and observe the social distancing indicators throughout the departure process.

Emigration Cards and other related forms must be completed before approaching the passport control officer.

Arriving passengers are required to complete the necessary health declarations and related documents before arrival. These can be obtained from https://www.stlucia.org/en/covid-19/

All arriving passengers must undergo COVID Screening by Port Health Officials at the Airport Public Health Facility.

Arriving passengers who have been processed through the Port Health Facility, Immigration, and Customs and have exited to the arrival concourse, will be dispatched by the Government Authorized Tourism Taxi via dedicated transportation to either the Government-authorized quarantine facility, Government approved hotel accommodation or private residence as approved by the Ministry of Health.
