Southern Business Association elects new executive

Executive of the Southern Business Association President Sabina Valmont is second from left

Two years after an interim committee was appointed to establish the Southern Business Association, an executive has been elected to take the organisation to the next level.

Its first President is Sabina Valmont; she headed the interim committee which laid the groundwork for the inaugural Annual General Meeting. Ms. Valmont was asked to build on the work done so far as the organisation became formalized and positioned to better represent the interest of the business community in the southern half of the island. Its members are drawn from Dennery and Micoud on the east coast to Laborie and Choiseul in the west.

The other members of the SBA executive are: Vice – President – Ms. Laurencia Parsad, Secretary – Mrs. Bibiana Morgan, Treasurer – Ms. Fabiana Chedy and Assistant Secretary/Treasurer – Mr. Alwyn Harris.
