Saint Lucia has slipped in the World Bank’s annual ease of doing business rankings.
The Island is ranked 93 among 190 economies in the Ease of Doing Business report, according to the latest World Bank’s 2019 annual ratings. According to the latest assessment, the rank of St Lucia deteriorated to 93 in 2018 from 91 in 2017.
The Ease of Doing Business Report 2019 also saw Barbados fall three spots to be globally-ranked 132nd out of 190 economies.
In the 2018 Report which was issued last October, Barbados was ranked 129th, which was a slight improvement from the 132nd ranking it received in 2017.
Jamaica is the highest-ranked country in the Caribbean at 75th with Trinidad and Tobago at 105th, it was reported.
