St. Lucian cruise ship workers in the Philippines to leave early July

The repatriation of 10 St. Lucian Musicians stranded on Princess Cruise ships in Manila Bay is set to begin early July.

They were originally due to leave June 23rd for Panama and await the next available flight from the United States, but that plan has reportedly been shelved.

The CBR has learnt that the musicians will leave in time to connect with a Chartered Flight on or around July 4th bound for St. Lucia.

The ten musicians have been on the ship for close to four months after the global outbreak of COVID-19 grounded the cruise industry. They are members of two bands – Opus and Mosaic.

Another group of cruise ship workers were repatriated last week and are now in quarantine.
