Windward & Leeward Brewery Ltd. (WLBL), Du Boulay’s Bottling Company Ltd. (DBC) through its Piton Malta brand, continues to support youth development in St. Lucia with the donation of one hundred & fifty tablets through the Ministry of Education to sixteen schools around the island.
This was in response to the Ministry’s call for assistance with providing students in need, with smart devices to accommodate remote learning, as schools have switched to online learning as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Schools benefiting from the tablet contribution were Boguis Combined, La Guerre Combined, Morne Du Don Combined, Bishop Charles Gachet R.C. Primary, Bexon Primary, Millet Primary, Aux Lyons Combined, Dennery Combined, Micoud Primary, Augier Combined, Laborie Boys’ Primary, Laborie Girls’ Primary, Delcer Combined, Canaries Primary and Les Etangs Combined.
Employees from WLBL DBC also played their part, by purchasing and donating additional tablets towards the Vieux-Fort Primary School through internal fund raising efforts.
Currently, Piton Malta is working with SSDF and NEMO to support disadvantaged families around the island with the essential grocery items and vouchers.
